Chief Executive Officer
Dan Klevisha is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of success in technology-based businesses. He is a high-performance commercially driven executive with a track record of transforming technical innovation to commercial success. Dan excels at building teams, understanding and applying technology to market needs, and insight into global market dynamics to scale businesses.
Over his career Dan has led businesses from pre-revenue to over $100M in revenue. Previous executive positions with respected companies such as Thermo Fisher, Bruker Optics, and Foss as well as co-founding two entrepreneurial successes with Polychromix and Galaxy Scientific. Dan holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.

Mike Creighton is an accomplished financial executive with deep expertise in accounting, finance, and operations, with a focus on the Biotech and Life Sciences sectors. For more than a decade, he has led finance and operations functions at early-stage, venture-backed startups, building a proven track record in financial reporting, commercialization, global expansion, system implementations, fundraising support, and exit strategies. Mike began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and is a licensed CPA. He has held senior leadership roles at innovative companies including Paratus Sciences, NanoView Biosciences, and KEW Inc. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree and MBA from Saint Bonaventure University.
Director of Operations
Since joining Pion in 2016, Rob has worked his way up within the ranks because of his commitment and dedication to the company and its values. Prior, he was a Financial Associate for both Prudential and Nationwide Insurance Companies, facilitating the financial and insurance needs for his clients. Rob is also a decorated Veteran having had the honor of serving in the United States Air Force during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. His most valued role came, when he had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home Dad for his twin sons for several years. When Rob is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. He is also an avid mountain biker and enjoys many outdoors activities.
VP, Innovation and Development
Balint received an M.Sc. in Pharmacy at Semmelweis University in 2007 and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2012. As part of his Ph.D. project, he has developed a skin penetration model that has been licensed and commercialized by Pion Inc. His research interest is focused on the formulation effect on intestinal and skin absorption. In these topics, he has authored or co-authored over 35 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and 1 book chapter. He is an industrial consultant for multiple Ph.D. students at University College London, Semmelweis University, and Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He also holds an honorary associate professor title at Semmelweis University.
VP of Marketing and Product Management
Maura Fitzpatrick is a seasoned product management and marketing leader in the life science tools industry, with more than 25 years of experience driving high-impact growth initiatives. She brings deep expertise in accelerating product development, launching innovative solutions, and building new markets to fuel organic expansion. Maura has led extensive international business development efforts across diverse global markets and is recognized as a strong people leader who fosters intensity, accountability, and high-performance team cultures.
Her career includes senior leadership roles such as Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at 908 Devices, Vice President of Product Management at Waters Corporation, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Cambridge Technology, and Senior Director at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Outside of work, Maura enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Chief Scientific Officer - Europe
Karl Box has served as Chief Scientific Officer (Europe) at Pion (UK) since 2020. He is involved in scientific and chemistry related functions within the company, as well as supporting commercial activities and business development. His expertise is in the field of physicochemical measurements, where he has forged a successful career in the development of new instrumentation and assays for supporting drug discovery and development. Karl earned his BSc(Hons) in Chemistry in 1989 from the University of Bath.
Karl is an established speaker at many international scientific meetings and conferences and has contributed to the AAPS eLearning webinar series. He has over 30 peer reviewed publications in scientific journals and has published on many topics, including solubility and lipophilicity and its relationship to the Biopharmaceutical Classification System, and explored the ideas of improving a compounds classification through the use of supersaturation and solubility enhancement strategies, all high-agenda items for the oral biopharmaceutics and drug delivery sectors.
VP, Global Sales
Ashley Moseby is an accomplished commercial executive with 15 years of experience leading sales and go-to-market teams within high-growth, investor-backed life science companies. Known for building and scaling commercial infrastructure from the ground up, she has held pivotal roles in advancing emerging businesses including Fortis Life Sciences, Verogen (now part of QIAGEN) and Essen BioScience (now part of Sartorius).
Before joining Pion, Ashley served as Head of Sales at Medeloop AI, where she designed the company’s commercial strategy, expanded its global presence and unlocked new revenue streams. Her work combines strategic insight with operational discipline - aligning commercial execution with competitive dynamics, industry trends and organizational vision.
Driven by a passion for bringing innovative technologies to market, Ashley thrives when commercial success is closely linked to scientific advancement and customer impact. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management.
