A 1-day symposium to discuss and debate biorelevant assays in Pharmaceutical Science that will bring together scientists who work on formulations that increase the uptake of drugs as well as develop models, instruments, and methods that realistically represent complex biological systems like the GI tract, skin, and others.
With more and more drug candidates being poorly soluble compounds there is increasing pressure on pharmaceutical scientists to come up with enabling formulations. This creates a tremendous need for relatively simple in vitro tools that are capable of delivering in vivo - relevant results for the prediction of bioavailability. This conference will bring together scientists who work on formulations that increase the uptake of drugs as well as develop models, instruments, and methods that realistically represent complex biological systems like the GI tract, skin, and others.
Who should attend?
Those involved in:
- In-vitro tools: e.g., dissolution-absorption, transfer models, micro-needles, gastrointestinal tract models
- Simulated fluids: bio-relevant media advances, novel media
- Preformulation/formulation/developability: lipid-based formulations, amorphous solid dispersions, mesoporous, cyclodextrins, co-crystals, nanoparticles, long-acting injectables, subcutaneous, oligonucleotides, protacs, RNA, etc.
- Simulation: PBPK modeling
- Patient areas: pediatrics, geriatrics, oncology, CNS, etc.
- Delivery routes: oral, injectable, subcutaneous, ocular, intra-muscular, topical/dermal, inhalation, colonic, etc.
