Fulfillment Planning Specialist

The Fulfillment Planning Specialist strategically manages inventory levels by calculating and planning the precise quantities of items needed to meet production schedules, ensuring timely availability while optimizing costs by minimizing excess inventory and preventing stockouts, and collaborating closely with production and purchasing to maintain smooth operations.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to accurately forecast future material needs.
- Maintains accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Analyzes data to monitor inventory levels, identifying potential shortages and taking corrective actions like expediting orders or adjusting purchase quantities
- Identifies and resolves inventory discrepancies.
- Provides inventory reports to purchasing agent.
- Assists with annual physical inventory audit.
- Assists with entering consumable/spare parts and field/analytical service sales order into ERP.
- system during high demand periods. Confirms orders back to customer and sales team.
- Provide on-going communication with the Sales Team on Orders placed and shipping information.
- Assist in inventory levels of consumables and create Work Orders for lab to produce as needed.
- File hard copy documents.

Travel
This position is based 100% onsite in our Billerica office and requires no travel.
Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to navigate inventory storage area and reach items both high and low.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year experience in manufacturing related.
- 1+ year experience with ERP system, NetSuite or Fishbowl preferred.
- 1+ year experience with Zoho or similar CRM system.
- 1+ year relevant customer service experience.
